Community Guidelines
Version 1.0 · Effective September 19, 2026
Why these exist
Willie works because members treat each other the way they would want to be treated in a room full of peers. These guidelines are short on purpose. They apply everywhere on Willie: profiles, asks, responses, and messages.
Be professional
Come here for work. Be direct, be useful, and be someone people want to recommend. Assume the person on the other side is busy and serious about their craft.
Introductions require consent
Connections and conversations happen only when the other person accepts. If someone declines or does not reply, leave it there. Don’t route around a no, and don’t pass someone’s contact details along without asking them first.
Not allowed
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation.
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
- Sexual advances, sexual content, or romantic solicitation. Willie is not a dating service.
- Impersonating another person, company, or role, or misstating your credentials.
- Spam, mass pitching, scams, fake opportunities, pay-to-play schemes, or requests for money under false pretenses.
- Scraping, bulk-collecting, or exporting member information.
- Unwanted solicitation after someone has asked you to stop.
Respect confidentiality
What members share here is shared in confidence. Don’t republish private messages, screenshots, member lists, or anyone’s contact information outside Willie without their permission.
Represent yourself accurately
Use your real name and real credits. Describe what you actually did on a project. If your role changes, update your profile. Overstated credits are the fastest way to lose the trust the network runs on.
Reporting and enforcement
If something is wrong, report it from the member’s profile or write to legal@usewillie.com. Reports go to Willie, not to the person reported. We review what we receive and may ask for more detail.
Depending on what happened, we may warn a member, remove content, limit features, suspend an account, or remove someone from Willie permanently. Serious behavior can lead to removal on a first occurrence.
